The Ranger is your perfect work and play companion with advanced off-road technology capable of taking you to places you never thought possible. The 3.0 EcoBlue V6 engine kicks out a whopping 600Nm of torque, or you can specify the more efficient and cheaper 2.0 EcoBlue for up to 500Nm, both controlled through the new E-Shifter with a slick 10-speed gearbox. Mechanical improvements include a better approach angle and outboard for better off-road articulation, and an upgraded chassis.
Trims include XL, XLT, Wildtrak, Platinum and Raptor. There are also more than 10 driving aids available, like a 360 camera to make parking a breeze and Adaptive Cruise Control to take the edge off motorways. The fresh design includes distinctive C-shape LED daytime running lights and a large 10.1” or 12” touchscreen in the centre console with SYNC 4. The high-tech cockpit is a work of art, and the double cab model has space for five people. With the FordPass app, you can also remote start and lock and unlock your Ranger.
Design
The Ranger is a bold update for Ford’s global truck design DNA, with a purposeful sleek shoulder line, C clamp headlights, and a soft close or assisted tailgate. Inside, the cockpit is functional and stylish, with a huge touchscreen.
Drive
The Ranger has a rotary dial to shift between drive modes, letting you switch from four to two-wheel drive to save fuel. Ford’s proven 2.0 and 3.0 V6 engines deliver incredible speed, refinement, and efficiency – the perfect trio!
Practicality
The Ranger gives you the power of choice – single cab or double cab. The double cab is extremely popular, with space for five people, while single cab models have space for two people and a larger load box (ideal for commercial use).
Living with it
Despite its epic off-road capability, the Ranger is remarkably refined on the move and doesn’t cost a packet to run. Wildtrak models have leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated sports steering wheel with contrast stitching.
